Chief Engineer

JAMES PARROTT

James’ earliest memories are of helping his father in their families’ car restoration business in Florida where James’ passion ignited for fixing things. He started his Engineering career 12 years ago as an apprentice Electrician and after qualifying he went on to run his own small business. The opportunity arose to transfer those skills to become an Engineer onboard his first yacht, at just age 22. After several years, he took a hiatus from yachting to work as a Facilities Manager of a high-end luxury development in the heart of London and then as Technical Manager for a portfolio of five-star chalets in Val d’Isère. Upon his return to yachting he worked his way up and has over 5 years’ experience as Chief Engineer, holding his Y3 qualifications. His experience ensures the safe and efficient operation of all the various systems onboard. Pride in his work, plus a calm and instinctive ability to troubleshoot any issues mean he is always happy to chat ‘all things technical’. He’d be delighted to show off his Engine Room!
